A recently described southwestern genus with species occurring in the mountainous areas of Texas and Mexico. Although similar to the genus Schiedeella, these plants have a distinctive leathery leaf with a dark green upper surface and a purple central vein and the labellum does not extend beyond the lateral sepals.
